Here are nine photos from my October 30 hike of the Chauncey Peak Loop in Giuffrida Park, Meriden, CT, (Parking is here).

The Meriden Land Trust provides an excellent guide with a map and description of this hike and others. While this hike, which is 2.7 miles with an elevation gain of 530 feet, is classified as "moderate," this may be a bit misleading. The bulk of the ascent comes in a steep 0.2-mile stretch early on. That part includes a little scrambling and is surely strenuous, but it doesn't last long. Other than the descent, which requires some care, the rest of the hike is easy.
